Get Your Swag Back!
Happy Monday Lovelies....I hope you all had a great weekend...today's post is all about "Getting Your Swag Back"....my definition of swag is to simply get your coolness back, your confidence back, your sexy back....not in an arrogant way...but hold your head up and celebrate YOU! We are all made beautiful and unique...no one can do YOU like YOU can...so own it!
For this look, I actually shopped my closet...the animal print bell-sleeve car coat is from Banana Republic and I purchased it last year...it was actually my last purchase of 2017...I brought it on New Year's Eve....I always try to shop for articles of clothing that will continue to be in style year after year...pieces that I can change up with other pieces for a brand new look.
The dress is from ASOS and I actually purchased it over two years ago...I also like this dress from Zara....I think it's a great staple piece in my wardrobe...I can wear it with heels and for this look I paired it with my over the knee boots I purchased at DSW last year....again, the boots will always be in style and I can style them with so many different looks for Fall....the Kate Spade bag, I borrowed from one of the girls for the shoot...love my girls!
Now for a little "real talk"......have you ever been through a period in your life where something happened that totally left you feeling numb...this was me for almost two years...it was like I couldn't get my swag back...I was losing my confidence and my creativity....I had that "fear factor" and it wasn't a good place to be in y'all. Well, after a lot of praying and soul searching and truly just talking to God, I'm back and a better version of me...a stronger version....I know that God wants only the best for me and I'm so grateful and so thankful for my blessings. For those of you who may think it's too late for whatever reason to pursue your dreams...hear me and hear me good...stop making excuses and do YOU! God has something so AMAZING for you/me and I thank him for bringing that fight and desire and passion back in me that was missing for so long...so come on y'all...we can do this...let's encourage each other...be each other's cheerleaders....I'm excited for you and me....sending you all lots of hugs and positive vibes....get your swagger back and let's make some AMAZING things happen!!!...xoxoxo
